Journalist Jack Belden (1910-1989) served as a foreign correspondent in China before and after World War II. He covered the Sino-Japanese War for United Press, International in the 1930s. War reporting assignments took him to Burma, North Africa and Italy for such publications as London Daily Mail, London Daily Herald, Time, and Life Magazine.
